JV Boys Basketball Coach (PT) (posted 3/29/2018): Minimum two-years' experience, preferably in a formal middle or high school P.E. teaching/coaching setting, bachelor’s degree preferred. Must have an enduring love of youth, love of teaching and love of the Restored Gospel. Competitive hourly rate based upon experience. Position for 2018-19 season. Tutor (PT/hourly)Posted 12/7/2017. Tutoring will occur on campus. Two-years' experience, bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Candidates must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, love of the Restored Gospel, and be willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off campus. Spalding Tutor (PT/hourly) (Posted 9/26/2017). Certified Spalding instructor with a minimum of two-years' experience, preferably in lower elementary, bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Candidates must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, love of the Restored Gospel, and be willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off campus. Credentialed Reading Specialist (PT/hourly) (Posted 9/26/2017). Under the direction of Administration, the responsibilities of the position fall into two categories. As a teacher, the reading specialist is responsible for providing direct instruction to students, individually or in small groups, with an emphasis on emergent, beginning, and transitional readers, to enable students to develop literacy skills. Additionally as a literacy leader, the reading specialist will assist with coaching, supporting, and guiding teachers within the Spalding method of instruction. Must possess a Master’s degree with an endorsement as a Reading Specialist and certified in Spalding. Must have three (3) years of successful classroom teaching experience in which the teaching of reading was the primary responsibility. Candidates must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, love of the Restored Gospel, and be willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off campus. Substitute Teacher (PT/Hourly): Preferable experience in formal school setting. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Candidates must demonstrate an enduring love of youth, love of teaching, and love of the Restored Gospel, and be willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off campus. Competitive salary. This position is an on-call position. We accept applications for substitute teachers throughout the year.

Open Teaching Positions (K-3, 4-6, 7-12, FT and PT) are posted as they become available.
