Ms. Hansen has a great love for learning and teaching. After graduating from BYU in ’92 she continued to search for a higher standard of learning for herself and her children and was guided towards the Christian-based education methodologies taught at American Heritage School. She is the proud mother of four children, three of whom have graduated from American Heritage. Ms. Hansen has gained some of her teaching experience as an early morning seminary teacher, a Midwest Parents Chapter homeschooling educator, as a 5th grade teacher here at AHS, and as an aide and mentor for a few years with the middle school at AHS. She is thrilled about teaching 8th grade and believes strongly in quality versus quantity, inspiring more than requiring, and in helping her students to gain a true love of learning. She has had an amazing experience at American Heritage thus far, and hopes to continue teaching long enough to see her grandchildren attend someday.
