Carolyn Lundberg was born and raised in California as the oldest of 8 children who were all trained to perform different musical instruments. She came to Utah on academic and music scholarships to attend Brigham Young University where she completed her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy as a student of Irene Peery-Fox. Carolyn currently plays the harp and cello with local orchestras and has taught many years privately as well as in public school music programs. She conducted and arranged music for an LDS youth orchestra that celebrated the church's Utah pioneer sesquicentennial anniversary in 2002. She loves teaching music to her 5 children she is raising with her husband Dean as well as the young beginners of Lyceum's Junior Strings.
