Jereamie loves inspiring youth to be the best they can be. He grew up in the high, rural, and beautiful mountain country town of Buena Vista, Colorado. Being the only active LDS youth throughout his boyhood he learned early the value of gaining a testimony, standing for the right even when standing alone, and the peace and safety that come from living gospel standards. Jereamie served a two-year LDS mission in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University-Idaho, where he met his future wife Shelly, who tutored him in “elementary math”. He later dropped his “tutor” so that he could date her the next semester. Before coming to American Heritage School, Jereamie taught at elementary schools in Idaho, Nevada, and Arizona at the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades level. He currently completed his seventh year here at American Heritage School as a 6th grade teacher, and twelfth year overall. Jereamie is a voracious reader. He loves studying history, politics, and the gospel. American history, government, and constitutional studies are among his favorite interests. He has taught these subjects to children and adults alike for the past nine years. He also enjoys exercising, hiking, camping, traveling, and spending time with his family. Jereamie is currently working on earning a Level IV Master Teacher Project from American Heritage School, which he finds very rewarding. He has also created the 6th grade level World History course that is currently used at AHS. Jereamie and his wife, Shelly, are the proud parents of five wonderful children; 3 boys and two girls all of which they have homeschooled since birth. They have resided here in Pleasant Grove for the past 6 years.
